The COALS IT custodians share duties to create efficiencies to reduce the burden each department and IT manager have taken on within the last year or so because of the different regulatory requirements required by the Federal and State governments, the System, the University, and the College. In addition, the pervasive nature of malicious attacks requires COALS IT to increase the focus on cybersecurity.
COALS IT also shares the vision of creating a unified solution that follows the shared services initiative direction that Agrilife leadership has asked us to work toward. By sharing combined sets of knowledge, solutions, skills, and support, COALS IT has created an environment that will allow us to provide better service to faculty, staff and students. It has also been setup to allow other Departments in COALS to join.
This website will be public face to our shared procedures, help guides and other information.
